Bàsicament, si anem pel carrer i ens parem i ens estem una estona parats com estaquirots, estem fent loitering.
Exemple extret del llibre "The joyless economy"(1976) de Tibor Scitovsky:
"Yet, in most, perhaps all, other countries and civilizations, people go to cafés for the very purpose of loitering, and they consume merely in order to pay for the privilege..."
